Malav Joshi, M.D.

Dr. Joshi is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and a fellowship trained Vitreoretinal surgeon. He grew up in Northeast Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Science with summa cum laude from Youngstown State University and completed his medical school at the Northeast Ohio Medical University.  He then moved to the Arizona desert and completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.  From there, he completed a Medical Retina fellowship at the prestigious Duke Eye Center and a two-year Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Before joining Chesapeake Retina Center, Dr. Joshi was part of the attending faculty of the Krieger Eye Institute at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD where he was involved in resident education. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research findings at national meetings.

In his free time, Dr. Joshi enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and English bulldog.
