Retinal Laser Surgery
Laser treatments can be used to treat mulitple retinal diseases. Your doctor will explain the procedure in detail and will be ready to answer any questions you may have. All laser procedures will be done in our office. You will be dilated and may want to arrange transporatation in advance since you might not be able to drive immediately.
Preparations: There are no special instructions for the preparation of a laser procedure. You may take all prescribed medications and eat normally the day of the procedure.
Post-Procedure: There are no activity restrictions after your laser treatment. You may resume your normal daily duties and return to work the next day. It will take several weeks for the laser procedure to take full effect and you may need additional laser treatments depending on the severity and progression of the disease you are getting treatment for.
